Memory Lane

I saw this on my friends blog and thought it would be fun.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot. Anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty fun to see the responses. If you leave me a memory about me, I'll assume you are playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one to you.

I remember I used to pretend you were my little girl. I'd put you in the bike seat on the back of the ten-speed and ride all over the neighborhood.

And who can forget Garstchewy? I have no idea how to spell that.

Kenna was pregnant and not feeling very well. I felt so bad that she didn't feel good (it was a flu or something) the week of my wedding. On top of agreeing to make her own skirt for being a bridesmaid and helping to throw me a way fun bridal shower at the salon, she stayed up late putting my hair up in pin curls and then came to my house real early the day of the wedding to fix up my hair and spent the majority of the day at my wedding! I'm real lucky to have her as a friend!

I remeber being maybe in 9th grade not sure. I had a report due the next day but was so tiered and did not want to do it. I remeber asking Kenna "What am I going to do?" She said don't worry about it, go to bed and I will take care of it. Now remeber she is quite a bit younger than me I don't know what grade she was in. She did it though, I could not beleive it. She is such a sweet heart and always thinking of others. I still owe you big time for that. You are so so cute and sweet. I love you! Kel

Hi Kenna! Glad to see your blogging again:) I love what you guys did to the outside of your house...that looks great! The very first Memory that popped in my mind was when Mike and I met you and Mike. It was so funny how you guys ended up in our ward, Mike and Mike were both in the physical therapy program (and of course both named Mike:)... and the funniest that we both had daughters...born on the same day! That was awesome! We miss you guys!

You were always so self-directed! Before you started school I would ask if you wanted to go with me some place. You would think about it but usually decide you would rather stay home and watch Snow White--I could always let you do what you decided to do because that is exactly what I could count on you doing. Totally dependable at age 4. --and still are.

It is always fun to grap you and the girls to go shopping for whatever--I value your opinion! A very proud Mom

Hmmm, I remember when Kelley and I convinced you that Magicland was real...we made you wait outside of the closet, then we would say a magic word, you would open the closet and we would be on the top shelf hiding under blankets, you couldn't see us, but you could hear us talking..Kelley and I would laugh so hard..

I have lots of memories with you. As I glanced over the other comments I noticed that several of them had a theme similar to my memories. I will never forget how you saved me in eighth grade from believing that all people will eventually turn on you. Thanks to you, I had hope that people could really be friends and not dump you when it was convenient. Thanks for lifting me then and for your constant example of giving selflessly to those around you. My goal is to always take a load from your responsible shoulders to let YOU experience service from someone else!
