Preschool for Shara

Shara is now in preschool and loving every minute of it. When I went to pick her up after her first day, the teacher couldn't believe how smart Shara is. They read the Little Engine That Could. As the teachers would read they would ask the students if they thought the other engine would help. Shara answered, " He looks grumpy, he's not going to help." They couldn't believe that she was already perceptible enough to pick that up by looking at the picture. Shara doesn't miss a thing.

They got to go to the nearby orchard and learn about and pick apples. Afterward they made applesauce for a snack. When they worked on the letter "b" they made mini loafs of bread and got a balloon. Needless to say, it has been so much fun for her.

Ribbon Cutting

The ribbon cutting ceremony and open house were a success. Thanks to everyone that was able to come. Mike and Mike both looked great and presented well. The bankers and other associates were impressed and enjoyed the clinic's professional atmosphere. It was so neat to see all of Mike's hard work and dreams becoming a reality. The work is definitely not done, but is off to a great start. The clinic is busy and we hope it will continue on that course. A special thanks to all those who were instrumental in making this happen for our family.

The Year Mark

I can't believe it has already been a year since our little Jane came into the world. She is a little sweetheart and she's a mama's girl for now. She has been bum scooting for months with no intention of crawling. Despite my best tries she wasn't interested because she was much faster on her bum. Finally on the morning of her first birthday she got up and crawled across the kitchen like a pro. She still mostly scoots along but now we know she can crawl if she has a mind to.

Jane skipped baby food and went straight to table food. It saves money but is a lot harder to take anything on the go, not to mention nothing is just mine, we share everything from rice and beans to the Twix. I think her favorite things are strawberry lemonade and daddy's home made rice and beans. Breakfast is another story she wants nothing to do with it. We are trying scrambled eggs now and she is at least willing to give them a try.

She loves to be outside or playing with her big sister. No one can make Jane laugh and smile as well as Shara. They have so much fun together, what a blessing they both are.
